Trail from Solberget car park

From the car park highest up in the holiday cottage area around the former Fjällgården guest house, a trail begins which rises relatively gently up to the bare mountain above the treeline.
Straight ahead to the north the trail leads past the Stabre windbreak, 7 km, and on to Syterstugan hostel. This trail is very wet in places and wading is necessary. The trail from Laisaliden, see above, joins up with this trail after Stabre. The once mighty Tärna glacier is to be seen on the eastern slope of Murtsertjåkke. The glacier was already being observed and photographed in the late nineteenth century. At the start of Syterskalet the trail merges with the King’s Trail. The total distance to Syterstugan from Solberg is 18 km.
