Vallentjakke / Marinstugan

The summer trail to Syterstugan hostel via Vallentjakke and the Marinstugan windbreak starts from the lower car park at Laisaliden. First the trail leads steeply up the Nuolpen slope to the Nuolp tarn.
The alpine character of the setting is further reinforced when the trail continues up along the peaks of the Mortsfjällen mountains. The maximum altitude here is 1413 metres above sea level. The distance to the windbreak, which is unsuitable as overnight accommodation except in an emergency, is about 8 km. About 5 km after the windbreak this trail joins up with the Solberg-Syterstugan hostel trail. Another 7 km brings you to Syterstugan. The total distance from Laisaliden to Syterstugan is 20 km.
